Who are we? The Hansel Group are amongst ScotlandÍs leading charities supporting people living with disabilities. Hansel Foundation undertakes fundraising activities on its own behalf as well as on behalf of its sister charity: Hansel Alliance, and also provides services directly supporting young people in their transition to adulthood. Hansel Alliance provides supports to people in their own homes; within residential settings; through daytime opportunities; through ñshort breaksî and respite opportunities, and through employment supports. Our services are delivered within both mainstream community settings and at our Broadmeadows Estate near Kilmarnock in Ayrshire. Your support to Hansel will make such a lasting difference. How we work At Hansel we work with people, for people.æ People, communities and relationships are at the heart of everything we do and achieve together. æWe recognise the value of natural friendships, community connections and support networks. æWe enable and empower people to lead the life they chose, be recognised as equal citizens and participate fully in their community. We work in partnership with over 600 customers and with other people and agencies, from social work and health, to families and advocates.æ We each have our own strengths and expertise and working together ensures the best possible outcome for the person at the centre.
